Overview:

This paper has been compiled to assist those who want to install Oracle 10g RAC on Tru64 clusters. In order to setup Oracle 10g RAC, a new software CRS (Cluster Ready Services) has to be installed and running. This is a new feature for 10g RAC which performs high availability functions. Oracle has attempted to standardize their software kit across platforms by introducing this new feature. So this has to be installed on Tru64 clusters although Tru64 has its own clustering software. The CRS sits on top of the clustering software of Tru64 and uses some of the libraries so to setup a 10g RAC database, Tru Clusters should be installed.
