Overview:
This financial company with offices across the United States and in Europe focuses on full service investment banking, institutional sales, trading and research and asset management. With offices throughout the United States and overseas, the financial investment company was looking for ways to control voice toll costs, while also facing the need to update an existing PBX that was reaching end of life. Verizon Business analyzed the company's monthly bills and performed a traffic study for each of the company's 10 sites, with 300 call paths, and its hub site. The original configuration had a gateway at each location, but Verizon Business proposed IP Trunking, a centralized Voice over IP (VoIP) solution that required only one gateway at the hub site plus an additional gateway at the disaster recovery site.
