Overview:

One of the world's largest conference and event organisers, dmg world media organises events that cater to 8,000 exhibitors and 500,000 consumers every year across Australia and New Zealand alone. dmg's infrastructure was frustrating their efforts with unpredictable performance and availability, due to a large number of internet leased-lines and the site-to-site VPN connectivity matrix. Better infrastructure was important because dmg was moving to embrace the benefits of unified communications, which streamlines communications by combining VoIP, e-mail, instant messaging, video, and other online communications through a single interface. To replace its aging matrix-style Wide Area Network (WAN), dmg world media worked with Verizon Business to implement dedicated 2Mbps connections in its offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Auckland, and Singapore to facilitate direct connectivity into its global MPLS network.
