China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is the 7th largest oil company in the world, selling its products in 69 countries. With more than one million employees, CNPC generates annual revenue of U.S. $129.7 billion. CNPC needed an enterprise workflow and file management solution to help it coordinate efforts across its global workforce, while ensuring that its document handling and file management practices complied with applicable government and industry regulations. CNPC created an enterprise workflow and file management solution, which stores more than 3 terabytes of data, using the Microsoft Application Platform, including Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database software.
