Overview:

Vertelis creates solutions that enable its customers to use existing Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) and automation information to create near-real-time reporting on energy use to help reduce consumption. Vertelis required an enterprise-grade relational database to handle up to 7,000 readings per second. It also needed a well-integrated, intuitive reporting solution. The company developed and deployed its solutions using the Microsoft Application Platform, including Microsoft SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
