Overview:

PING helped pioneer many of the equipment innovations that golfers enjoy today on the links. To ensure its position as the custom fitting leader, PING shelved development tools that it had used for a year and adopted Microsoft Expression Blend and Windows Presentation Foundation. The switch helped PING to dramatically speed development of the n Flight custom-fitting application. The visually rich, interactive application can display virtual playing conditions, the path a ball will take when the golfer swings, and other factors used to determine the best fit and best clubs for a golfer. By using the Microsoft tools, PING is now at least two years ahead of its competition in custom fitting.
