Overview:
This paper details the step-by-step configuration of the IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller (SVC) with Oracle Database 10g, Oracle Real Application Clusters 10g Release 2 (RAC) and Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) on the IBM AIX 5.3 operating system. The test exercise demonstrates that it is easy to configure the SVC in this environment by using the guidelines that are laid out in this paper.
