Overview:

SAS information maps provide a layer of metadata that describes the physical data structures in terms that business users can understand. The INFOMAPS procedure and LIBNAME engine, introduced in SAS 9.1, allow from Base SAS for the creation, modification, and deletion of information maps along with querying of the data described by the information map. For SAS 9.2, these products now include enhanced functionality. This paper is written for the customers with the role of utilizing the power of information maps in Base SAS. It will test drive the new features of the procedure and the engine. Common changes to both INFOMAPS products include support on all SAS BI platforms and the use of trusted peer connections.
