Overview:
Desktop virtualization dramatically simplifies IT infrastructure, provides greater enterprise data security and enables cost effective IT utilization and management. While some desktop virtualization products attempt to use communication protocols designed for Wide Area Networks (WANs), even these products run into two fundamental challenges when trying to support users located across the globe: bandwidth constraints often limit the amount of data or the number of users, and latency prevents users' applications from delivering LAN-like performance.
