Overview:

This paper provides detailed instructions for Staging web content between a development environment and a live/production environment using Microsoft Commerce Server 2007. These instructions assume they already have two environments - a Development environment in which either development or testing or both are carried out (hereafter referred to as "Development") and a live/production environment (from hereon referred to as "Production"), each containing a Commerce Server "site" - and they are attempting to make both environments as similar as possible with regard to the Commerce Server deployment and content. It is recommended that they use the instructions provided in this paper as a guideline for Staging between their own two sites.
