Overview:
Brunswick Corporation (NYSE:BC) is a Fortune 500 company and the leader in bringing Genuine Ingenuity to everything it makes-marine engines, pleasure boats, fitness equipment, bowling and billiards, and emerging technologies. In response to a company-wide survey that revealed employees were being overrated in their reviews and that ratings themselves lacked meaning and consistency, Brunswick's five divisional human resources vice presidents formed an executive-sponsored task force to overhaul workforce performance management. To improve its performance processes, Brunswick required a better performance management model and system to support it. Brunswick selected Softscape's integrated people management platform, Softscape Apex, as the foundation of its performance management strategy. What appealed to Brunswick was Softscape's configurability and deployment flexibility, particularly Softscape's ability to host the system for Brunswick.
