Overview:
LSP (Layered Service Provider) is a component that intercepts winsock2 calls, has the ability to manipulate them, and then has the option to pass them to the winsock2 provider. LSP is organized in a chain structure: the first call goes to the first LSP in the chain, the LSP processes the call, and then calls the next LSP in the chain, and so on, until the last LSP calls the actual winsock2 function. This paper focuses on transport provider LSPs. This paper assumes knowledge in winsock2 technology.
