Overview:

Thomson Peterson's is a leading provider of live, online, and print educational solutions for students, families, schools, and educators in the areas of test preparation, admissions, financial aid, and career guidance. Thomson Peterson's stored their session-state data for their online applications in a DBMS, but needed to speed up user response time. At the same time, they could not risk having session data become unavailable in the event of a server or network failure. By using ScaleOut StateServer instead of a DBMS, they saw an immediate performance speed-up, making their customers more productive. Also, session-state information remains highly available due to ScaleOut Software's StoreSafe replication technology.
