Overview:
Many common data analysis models are based on the general linear univariate model, including linear regression, analysis of variance, and conjoint analysis. This paper discusses the general linear model in a framework that allows nonlinear transformations of the variables. The paper shows how to evaluate the effect of each transformation. Applications to marketing research are presented.
