Overview:
Dell Inc. commissioned principled Technologies(PT) to compare the total cost of ownership (TCO) of three blade solutions, which is listed in alphabetical order: Dell PowerEdge M1000e, HP BladeSystem c-Class and IBM BladeCenter H Type 8852. TCO includes hardware, support, management software, IO virtualization, power, cooling, network ports, and data center space. The paper examined the TCO of these blade solutions at acquisition and at 1, 3, and 5 years.
