Overview:

Operating in more than 170 countries, British Telecom plc (BT) is a leading provider of communications services, including, networked IT services; telecommunications services; and Internet products and services. During its hardware refresh cycle, the company wanted to upgrade its operating system to one that would save costs, improve user productivity, and enhance security, while helping it meet energy consumption and carbon emission goals. BT decided to upgrade from the Windows XP operating system to the Windows Vista Enterprise operating system. As part of the upgrade, it is implementing Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption to help protect data in the event of a lost or stolen portable computer.
