Overview:
Infosys Technologies was running the Windows XP Professional operating system on eighteen different images. Adding to this complexity, its client environment was managed locally, resulting in elevated security concerns and a lack of centralized control of the operating system images. Infosys wanted to better control its client computing environment, while allowing its workforce flexibility and mobility. Infosys teamed with Microsoft Services to deploy the Windows Vista Enterprise operating system. After a successful pilot deployment in February 2007, Infosys began rolling out Windows Vista using Microsoft Solution Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment 2007 and Lite Touch installation.
