Overview:

As a telecommunications leader, KDDI Corporation focuses on customer satisfaction through speedy service. Gaining new customers required retail staff to transfer customers' existing phone data to the KDDI product. KDDI needed a stable platform that supported easy installations of multiple conversion applications and the ability to connect several phones to the computers at once. To provide a reliable platform for its expanding business, KDDI upgraded computers in its retail locations to the Windows Vista Business operating system. With Microsoft Services, the company ran a pilot in May 2008, and upgraded all its 20,000 computers by November 2008. It used the Windows Imaging Format to create a single operating system image and is currently using ClickOnce technology in the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 for easier deployment.
