Software developer In Silicio, which develops simulation solutions for the microelectronics industry, wanted to offer its solutions to a wider market and be able to create faster, more complex simulations. Therefore, the company switched its open-source operating system to Windows HPC Server 2008. With the new High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment, In Silicio was able to rapidly port its solutions to the new system, reduce hardware requirements for its customers, and gain a competitive edge.
