Overview:

The Ministerio de Industria y Comercio wanted to automate, simplify, and facilitate legal processing of export products for Paraguayan exporters and create a robust database to organize, plan, and analyze data for markets, products, producers, and regions nationwide. The challenge was to provide a self-service Web site that enables citizens to accelerate legal steps related to domestic and foreign commerce. The Ministerio de Industria y Comercio automated and simplified legal procedures online, facilitating management of applications and authorizations for export and import of Paraguayan products and reduced the time required to process paperwork from importers and exporters from 44 days to three hours.
