Overview:

Research is delivering new insights that will help to improve trust and assurance in the cloud computing environment. One such project is Daoli (www.daoliproject.org), a research project led by EMC Research China collaborating with four of China's top university teams to explore new methods for providing trust and assurance in cloud computing environments. Traditional methods rely on the trustworthiness of the computing provider for the assurance that hosted software is executed correctly without interference from other guests. Daoli makes the trustworthiness verifiable by a combination of hardware virtualization and trusted computing technology that achieves "Behavior conformity." The attendee will find out what researchers are learning about providing process isolation in a multi-tenant hosted computing environment.
