Utilyx knows all about the energy business, and how organisations can manage their energy price risk. The challenge for its PR was to explain a complex issue to a whole new audience - and demonstrate the value that PR itself can add. Utilyx may have had a strong track record in delivering services to an impressive client list, but its experience with PR had been far less successful. As its services became more sophisticated in response to changing market conditions, it also needed to talk to C-level executives as well as energy buyers. The company needed to explain a complicated business and get people talking about it. Utilyx's annual survey of the true state of energy procurement among the FTSE 250 was the hook they needed.
