Overview:
This paper discusses antennas and propagation aspects in current passive UHF RFID systems. The paper considers a "Reader-tag-reader" link and concentrates on each part of it: reader antennas, propagation channel, and tags. The paper includes channel modeling equations and support the discussion with experimental measurements of tag performance in various conditions. The paper also provides a comprehensive literature review.
