Overview:
Organizations are using server virtualization to reduce costs and achieve greater flexibility; however, the risk of reduced data and application availability has slowed the implementation of production applications in virtual machines. Veritas Cluster Server for VMware is a comprehensive high availability and disaster recovery solution for the ESX platform, providing availability for the underlying server, virtual machines and applications running within VMs. It also simplifies and automates disaster recovery through the failover of virtual machines locally or between clusters in remote locations. VCS also supplements VMware's Virtual Center capabilities by clustering it to ensure minimal downtime and maximize accessibility.
