Overview:

Miami-Dade WASD understood it had to improve its outdated, expensive and ineffective mainframe Customer Information System (CIS) that it had implemented in 1982. They wanted to implement a real-time online system with improved functionality around billing cycles and new rate structures. They wanted a system that would be more cost-effective than maintaining the legacy system - which they had been doing on their own since the original vendor had gone out of business. By leveraging their ProvenCourse methodology, their experience with PeopleSoft and their strategic systems integration expertise with utilities, the BearingPoint team was able to help Miami-Dade WASD successfully move between two vastly different environments and software systems.
