Overview:

This paper presents model of joint unicast and anycast flows optimization in multilayer networks. The paper assumes that in the upper layer the MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) technique is used to transport unicast and anycast demands. The MPLS works on the top of optical layer applying WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing). Multilayer network optimization gains much attention in recent years. The main novelty of this work is joint optimization of unicast and anycast flows in MPLS over WDM. To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first work that addresses this problem.
