Overview:

University of Auckland wanted to upgrade limited strategic and tactical reporting capabilities that made the University's demonstration of compliance with funding criteria an onerous process and eliminate the need to build Microsoft Access databases, which would take three to four days, to obtain required insights into student population. The challenge was to achieve a single source of truth on student information and build trust to limit faculties' use of their own databases. University of Auckland engaged Oracle Certified Partner Indigo New Zealand Limited to deploy a solution in late 2005, based on Hyperion Interactive Reporting 8 before upgrading to Hyperion Interactive Reporting 9.3 in 2008 and ensured the planning and quality team could meet internal KPIs built into the university's strategic plan.
