Overview:

Michelin wanted to integrate data, financial processes, and business cycles for the Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), Warehouse Management and Manufacturing (ERP II and DRP) systems, streamlining access to information, facilitating decisions and provide employees throughout Brazil and other South American countries with rapid access to company information. The challenge was to gain greater control of financial processes, including all facets of accounting, and Fixed Assets, in order to minimize errors and centralize all client, supplier, and product records, improving the referential data quality and generating a consolidated overview. Michelin implemented Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications to enable daily financial accounting results, create a call center, and reduce the amount of cash needed in operations.
