Overview:

"Cloud computing" is a difficult term to explain to most; even to technologists and IT professionals, the concept of computing in the cloud is a wide, generic term for many specific areas within online environment. The "Cloud" is defined as the Internet surrounding every part of the daily lives, similar to the clouds in the sky. However many new enterprise related buzzwords have evolved from the original "Computing in the cloud" concept; "Software-as-a-service", "Software + services" which has evolved as a more Microsoft related term, and "Social media" which is a cornerstone in social networking and development. This paper highlights several computing disasters associated with cloud computing, including natural disasters and human errors, as well as those not always necessary connected, but still impact the cloud.
