Overview:
In this paper, learn how three software patterns were applied to the design and development of the Web Services Notification (WS-Notification) standard in WebSphere Application Server 7.0. Explore the WS-Notification implementation provided by WebSphere Application Server and the context for the application of the patterns. This paper also describes the new version of WS-Notification based on the Java API for XML- based Web Services (JAX-WS) specification, which enables use of policy set functions. The architectural impact of applying these patterns is also discussed.
