Overview:

Web Services are being adopted for integration, yet to enable a full-blown service-oriented architecture approach for federated service management, a comprehensive support infrastructure is required. Focusing on service level management in the service management arena, this paper describes a frame of reference and uses it to evaluate service level management - related support infrastructures in research projects from a service federations perspective. While all the projects surveyed provide useful insights, areas of research still remain.
