Overview:
Many applications need to represent data in one or more industry-standard message formats specified using XSD. XSD is often an ideal way to specify industry-standard message formats because it's broadly supported across platforms and programming languages (either natively or via libraries). However, even given this support, converting data stored in application-specific data structures into messages (usually XML messages) that conform to an XSD can present challenges due to the feature mismatches between these application-specific data structures and XSD.
