Overview:
Cass Information Systems needed to consolidate physical servers to avoid a costly expansion of the power and cooling infrastructure in its data center. Through virtualization, Cass also sought to simplify server administration tasks and replication, as well as save staff time in hardware upgrades, testing and troubleshooting. Cass deployed a combination of Dell PowerEdge servers, Dell PowerVault storage, and virtualization software from VMware, as well as Dell OptiPlex desktops and Latitude notebooks for its end users - all backed by Dell Enterprise Support Services.
