Overview:

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore is a statutory board under the Republic of Singapore Ministry of Transport that oversees the growing transport needs of Singapore. LTA plans the long-term transport requirements of the country's citizens. With 8.9 million journeys made daily, LTA constantly seeks innovative ideas that will help achieve its vision for a people-centred land transport system. LTA and Microsoft have been partners since 2006. To meet its organizational challenges and improve internal and external communication, LTA deployed Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Microsoft Expression Studio and Microsoft Virtual Earth to launch an on-demand video-casting communications platform for its staff, and an exhibit that enables Singapore to see the future of transportation in the city state.
