Overview:

Object oriented thinking is one of the most effective paradigms in computer science area which has important influences on software engineering and design. While industrial design and computer science have common domains like Human Computer Interaction (HCI), industrial design could benefit from advantages of object oriented thinking too. In this study an object oriented design process which is based on a correspondence between the object oriented paradigm and a typical industrial design project, is proposed. In the next step, this design process has been applied in a product design project about Personal Digital Partner, a cutting edge portable digital device.
