Overview:
Enterprises that adopt the Red Hat Linux operating system (OS) and run it on Dell PowerEdge servers require a way to manage these environments. OpenNMS (Open Network Management System) is an open source network management platform that works well for managing Linux environments. OpenNMS can monitor the performance of nodes on a network through the use of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). This white paper explains how to configure SNMP and Dell OpenManage Server Administrator to work with OpenNMS.
