Overview:

La Caixa is currently Spain's leading Savings Bank and the country's third largest financial organization. The company's existing home banking environment, which was based on a client/server model, was an idiosyncratic system. It required a highly specialized development team coupled with very specific knowledge - something which was hard to find in the market. e-laCaixa has been relying on BEA WebLogic Server for six years. From the original 5.1 version, the solution has evolved to the 8.1 release, which currently provides an infrastructure and functionality layer delivering services to various different channels using a different interface for each device.
