Overview:
NE Nationalencyklopedin AB (NE) wanted to upgrade the company's Web platform and create a new Web site that can handle up to a tenfold increase in visitors and increase Web site availability and reliability to ensure a consistent visitor experience. The challenge was to consolidate underlying systems onto a uniform IT platform to achieve a streamlined and more cost effective management of the site. NE Nationalencyklopedin AB (NE) upgraded the company's Oracle Database infrastructure to serve as the foundation for a stable and scalable platform for the new production environment and the Web site, which can now seamlessly handle more than 10 times the number of visitors annually.
