Overview:

Utrecht is the fourth largest city in the Netherlands with a population of close to 300,000 citizens. The City's operational strategy is based on an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) that needs to be flexible to cater to the wants and needs of various user groups. The City wanted to improve its ICT in several ways. It needed to prevent liability and reputation damage created by problems with Spyware. They were looking for a complete solution that could prevent incoming and outgoing Crimeware - the anti-virus technology they were using was not enough. With these requirements in mind, the City of Utrecht chose Finjan's Secure Web Gateway solution, based on the award-winning Vital Security Web Appliance NG-5000-S.
