Overview:

Saab Systems is a leading supplier of customised decision support systems, products and components for defence, aviation, space and civil security in the International market. Off late Saab was working with the Swedish Rescue Services Agency to develop the Wearable Command Unit (WCU), a distributed interactive system for command and management of rescue operations. A key principle of the WCU system was to provide a robust mobile communication platform that could link different rescue agencies in the field eg. fire, ambulance, and police, which might normally use different communications systems or networks. Saab Systems deployed network security solution developed by AppGate Network Security which met the demanding specification for the WCU.
