Microsoft recommends that you connect to the Internet to get the important security updates and service packs after a fresh install. But the catch-22 is that your computer is more vulnerable until the security updates are installed. Alan Norton details five ways to better secure your computer immediately following a clean install until all the important security updates can be installed.
