Overview:
This paper outlines a framework for using IBM Workplace Web Content Management 6.0 (hereafter called Web Content Management) to manage and deliver localized Web sites. This framework is based on a data structure that supports storage of localized sites and the use of extension points in the Web content management system for authoring, workflow, and rendering of localized sites. The paper demonstrate how to use Web Content Management to support the typical scenarios for site localization, scale this up to large numbers of localized sites, and then tailor a solution to meet the authoring, workflow, delivery, and deployment needs.
