Overview:

From time to time, anti-virus companies pursue quintessentially new technologies in their quest to develop a universal panacea that addresses the above problems in a single stroke. A solution offering proactive protection would make it possible to detect an emerging virus and delete it prior to the virus actually being created and appearing on the Internet. However, a "Universal" solution is only effective against threats that act in accordance with constant, well-defined rules. Because computer viruses manifest from the intricate workings of hackers' minds, they are not subject to any fixed rules. Rather, viruses abide by sets of rules that constantly change in accordance with the goals of the computer underground.
