Overview:
The IT services department of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust manages 6,000 desktop computers across two busy sites. It wanted to streamline essential computer maintenance and install security updates - even when they were powered down or inaccessible to IT staff. Dell arranged for the trust to evaluate its Dell OptiPlex desktops, equipped with Intel vPro processor and Active Management Technology. Working with Dell and Intel, the trust thoroughly tested the new technology in closed laboratory conditions simulating five critical operational scenarios.
