Overview:
Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) is one of the largest banks in the United Kingdom. Employees at its in-house software development centre urgently wanted to improve the performance of an application used in the Human Resources (HR) department. HBOS engaged two Microsoft Application Development Consultants (ADCs) who quickly delivered improvements to the HR application. This project became a turning point for the development centre. It established a strong partnership with the ADCs, who helped make the overall development environment more efficient. They have since put HBOS in touch with industry experts, enhanced employees' technical skills, and improved the development life cycle.
