Overview:

Leading Swiss energy company BKW was running outdated desktop software on its employees' computers, compromising its ability to compete in an energy market where productivity and agility are essential. The company decided to upgrade its 2,300 computers to a new desktop platform based on the Windows Vista Enterprise operating system and Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007. With the new software in place, BKW is benefiting from a significantly enhanced security environment, higher employee productivity, and better integration of mobile workstations. IT management is enjoying simpler administration thanks to a reduction in use of third-party security solutions.
