Overview:

The research focus has since shifted from neural networks to machine learning, algorithmic data analysis and data mining. Macadamia is a two-year master's programme for machine learning and data mining given in the Department of Information and Computer Science at Helsinki University of Technology. This paper describes its curriculum and how the courses are organized. The emphasis is on the three machine learning courses.
