Overview:

Using Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET), a high-performance ADO.NET-compliant data provider, developers can take advantage of all of Oracle Database's enterprise features with performance tuning and security features built in. ODP.NET can be used in conjunction with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio, an add-in for Microsoft Visual Studio that makes common database tasks easy for .NET developers. For example, one can create tables, edit and debug PL/SQL, edit and run SQL scripts, automatically generate .NET code to access database schema objects, and do many other database tasks right from Visual Studio.
