Overview:

Futurecom is the largest and most important telecommunications and IT event in Latin America. Futurecom is an event that demands a highly trustworthy network infrastructure. During the four days of the event, exhibitors conduct downloads, uploads, demonstrations of applications, VoIP calls, contacts back to headquarters, and video conferences, among other activities. The wired network is used by at least 500 people, whereas the wireless network is used by 700 to 1,200 people each day. The data volume varies from 34 to 62 constant megabits of traffic per second. Futurecom deployed Nortel's Ethernet Routing Switch which offers a trustworthy, secure and intelligent network solution for converging applications.
