Videotron is one of the largest Canadian carriers providing telephony, Internet access, television and wireless services to residential and business customers. Recognizing the global Hyperconnectivity megatrend and an inevitable decline in the traditional POTS market, Videotron set about to deliver a comprehensive set of new, in-demand, revenue-generating services. The success of Videotrons cable telephony solution has fueled its ability to invest in the deployment of advanced SIP-based services. With the POTS market starting to decline, Videotron is leveraging its success in a challenging market segment to deliver the services that are creating new revenue streams, ultimately offsetting this decline. The Communication Server 2000 platform has enabled a smooth transition by tightly integrating SIP with the PSTN architecture.
